At least 22 31 dead at Virginia Tech
This staggering tragedy unfolded on the VT campus around 7-am and continued for two hours, until the gunman was shot by police, or took his own life. Theblackbean's own AveragePhill is a student and resident at VT, fortunately he was off campus at the time of this incident. A friend called him from Holden hall, where some students had barricaded themselves in a classroom, to tell him that the shooter had fired into the classroom door and was still in the hallway. His friend told him to stay away from campus. He described the shooter as an Asian male.
